As a stay-at-home-mom, sometimes I feel like I’m crushing it at life if I even get dressed in my yoga pants and t-shirt before noon. Other days I make pancakes for everyone, do yoga, and go grocery shopping all before 10 a.m. We all have the days where we lay in bed saying “ughh” for an hour while our kids watch cartoons next to us and the days where we feel like “super mom” and hit the ground running.
No matter what my day holds, caffeine is a MUST. Between the 4 a.m. feedings and the fort building, I just have to have it every day. Today I wanted to share my little “crushing it” moments with ya’ll from the past week and talk about the cup that goes with me, Dixie® To Go cups.
I also made these fun hand lettered coffee and tea printables to give away at the end of this post!
My hot drink of choice is a little homemade chai latte. I make a a cup of chai tea, add some milk, cinnamon, sugar and that’s it. It’s the perfect drink for fall and I really look forward to it every morning! All week I carried it around town pretending it was 60 degrees outside even thought it was still 90 degrees. 🙂
On Monday I put my baby girl down for a nap and got my yoga mat out while my son played…and she woke up before I even started. She was crazy good at the happy baby pose though and I actually finished my work-out even with her on the mat the entire time! 🙂
Tuesday we took big brother to school and I actually put on jeans and boots instead of yoga pants and flip-flops! Yes!! Extra points because Allie was dressed in real clothes too. 🙂
I love the Dixie® To Go cup because I can take it with me in the car while we sit and wait for his school door to open up. We just sit and chill and talk about his day before he goes inside. Those little moments are really great when you start to notice them!
These cups are great because they keep my tea hot the entire time I’m drinking it, the outside of the cup doesn’t get too hot to carry, and there is no clean up! I think that’s my favorite part since I’m constantly drowning in dishes. 🙂
Me and Allie ran some errands, went home, had a very peaceful morning, and then I got a call from my son’s school saying that he was sick and that I needed to come pick him up. So the rest of the day was spent trying to keep baby sister away from him which is REALLY hard because she’s CRAZY about him.
Wednesday was a day of waking up early to make sure Cole was all better, cleaning the whole house because I didn’t wanna get what he had, and more chai latte! By the end of the day when my husband got home from work, I took a long bath, used my new scrub, and gave myself a pedicure. I know by now that part of “crushing it” as a mom is taking a break every once in a while to relax!
Thursday Cole stayed home from school again but during their afternoon naps, I had some down time to do some lettering so I made these fun coffee and tea printables just for you! The version you can download is at the end of the post.
On Friday we celebrated being ALL BETTER with Daniel Tiger shaped pancakes and bacon. Shape pancakes can earn you major “cool points” with any kid! 🙂
Something HUGE also happened on Friday…Cole learned how to ride his bike without training wheels with his dad. Me and Allie sat on the front driveway and watched as he crashed into our trucks over and over but he finally got it! I don’t know why but it made me SO happy watching him ride his bike all by himself at just 4 years old…I’m pretty sure I was like 7 when I finally figured it out! 🙂
There were lots of things about this week that were hard like Cole getting sick but I won’t remember those forever. I will however always remember the look on my son’s face when he rode his bike without his dad holding on or my daughter’s happy face laying on my yoga mat. Those are the tiny moments that make life special! But, to do all of those things, sometimes we just need a little coffee or tea to help keep us going! 🙂
To download the printables just click the Coffee or Tea text below, save, and print. If you print, please tag me on Instagram so I can see!
