I play #animalcrossing every single day with Allie and Cole. I never thought I would say this, but this game was such a God send. It gave Allie this world where she can pretend and have some control.

We love it so much that I drew all of us today in our favorite Animal Crossing outfit. Allie is basically always Princess Peach, Cole loves to dress like a cowboy or Frenship Tiger, and that’s me in the middle! 😜✌🏻

Allie used to run outside every day and look at the sunrises over the Franklin Mountains in El Paso and she would scream “God Morning God!” She said it the exact same way every day and today when I was taking Cole to school I saw the sunrise and I yelled “Good Morning God!” just like Allie would. Cole loved it and said we need to start doing that again.

God gives us a fresh start every day. A new chance. New grace. New mercy. New moments. Thanking him that I got a new day today and also dreaming of heaven. 🌞

This week has been really weird getting back into a routine with so many therapy cancellations and tonight is our nursing home stay where we take Allie to a nursing home at midnight so she can finally get on Medicaid (which is THE dumbest thing EVER) but we’re gonna make it fun and grab @whataburger at midnight while we’re out! 🧡🤍🧡
