I have never been successful with growing flowers and this year I decided I would conquer my fear of dying plants 🙂 I have been buying them left and right and noticed that the planters REALLY add up. I am a huge fan of the plain terra cotta pots but I had to share some of these DIY planter ideas because they are genius.
My little DIY planter is just some pretty lace (left over from my dreamcatcher) that I hot-glued to a plain terra cotta pot. It took less than 2 minutes! That’s my kind of project 🙂

Lace Terra Cotta Pot from Child at Heart
This one is the BEST because I love green chili! (duh I’m from New Mexico) Any can could become a fun planter in minutes.
I am probably going to the Goodwill Store tomorrow to see if I can find an old colander for outside…
I love gold so these planters are perfect and simple to make.
The two different textures on this succulent planter make it a work of art all on it’s own.
Spray paint + tin cans = CUTE!
This one might take an afternoon but it’s worth it 🙂
These look SO fancy but aren’t that hard to make at all!
These tiny planters score BIG for fun!
Have you ever made a DIY flower pot? Are you “gardening challenged” like me? 🙂
I love this so much! I recently moved into an apartment with a cute little balcony and want to make it even better with a few plants.
Thanks Mandy! I would love to see pictures if you use any of these ideas 🙂 Just tag me on Instagram!
What beautiful ideas! I LOVED seeing the cat of Hatch Green Chiles. #spicy Good luck with your plantings!!!
Thanks! I’m probably going to need it 🙂 Yeah now every time I buy cans I am thinking about how cute the label is!
