I love getting cards from all of my friends and family around the holidays. I don’t send them because I’m lazy but I love putting them all around the house to think about the people I love. I rounded up a few fun and simple ideas for ways to display your Christmas cards from your loved ones and even included a few crafts of my own. Do you send out cards? How do you display the cards that you receive? Please let me know below in the comments section and if you use any of these ideas, please share and tag me on Instagram!
Ok let’s talk about some of my ideas first. The main place I put my Christmas cards and photos is on our DIY coat rack that holds photos. It looks so festive during December with a pom pom garland, our Christmas stockings since we don’t have a fireplace, and our Christmas cards we received.
An oldie but goodie idea from me is the Washi Tape Wreath that is made with clothespins, an embroidery hoop, and washi tape. I used this in our old house and although it didn’t survive our move to El Paso, I still love the idea.
Up next is my newest idea, a Yarn Wall Hanging Photo Display. This one looks really great on it’s own but it also looks really great with a few of your favorite pictures of holiday cards clipped to it. I made a small one for my hallway but if you made a larger one, it would hold WAY more photos. If you make a large one, just pop some popcorn, put on your favorite Hallmark Christmas movie, and start looping yarn!
I made a quick video to show you how I did it but I basically just looped three different colors of yarn to a small dowel, trimmed the ends a few times, and I was done! Super easy and it can be customized for any holiday with the colors of the yarn.
Ok now check out these other really beautiful, simple ways to see all of the wonderful cards to received during the holidays or year round!
This first one is so beautiful that you could use it year round for any type of card or picture. This is larger than most other card displays but it would look so great above a couch or buffet with all the pictures and cards you love. You could just change out the wreath and make this display work for any holiday!
I love how this blogger below took a hula hoop and reinvented it as a card holder. The gold paint makes it look great and I bet this entire project could be done for less than $5! That’s my kind of project!
The next image is from Minted from a while back but I LOVE it! You could use eucalyptus or even some evergreen garlands that have been cut up to display your cards for a few weeks. These won’t last forever but they will at least last through the holiday season.
This next idea is great because we all have an extra set of Christmas lights laying around that could be tacked up to the wall. You could also use Command Strip hooks to attach the lights without any holes. It would be super cute over a kid’s bed or in the shape of a Christmas tree.
Which one is your favorite? I think they are all very doable and affordable too! 🙂 Give me your best Christmas Photo Display Ideas and I might just add them here!
