Ikat Hello Fall Cricut Sign
We are currently moving out of our house and so I didn’t even get my fun fall decorations out just to pack them up in a few days 🙁  Sad day…I had to have SOMETHING to get me in the mood for fall so  I turned this little ikat painting I did the other day with my son into a cute little “Hello Fall” sign with my Cricut Expression 2.
Here are our creations we made the other day just messing around.  I’ll show at the end of the post what I turned his little painting into.  I just took the painting I made on the far right and cut it to fit an 8×10 frame.  I used the same technique as with my large ikat diamond canvas from a few months ago.

I used my Cricut Expression 2 and chose the Stretch Font
and just cut out the words in all caps.

After you cut them, be VERY careful with the paper because it’s not the letters you are using but the large piece of paper.  I left the center of the A and O out because I really liked the way it looked and it makes it easier too 🙂

Trim the paper to the 8×10 frame and you are all done!  A simple fun craft that will last all the way until the first snow 🙂

I took my son’s beautiful painting and we created a little jack-o-lantern magnet where he can change it’s face from happy to sad.  I drew a pumpkin and cut it out, mounted it on some black paper to make it sturdy, and then added a little face with some brads so that he could change his face.  I put a little magnet on the back and now it lives on our refrigerator.
Here is the original!  Genius 🙂

I love turning his paintings into something he can play with because he remembers the fun morning we had together every time he sees it…or that’s what I tell myself 🙂
What is your favorite thing about fall?  Do you decorate your entire house or save all of that decorating for Christmas?
