My son has a few loves in his life…mainly his parents, his Grandpas, and his Daniel Tiger. I would be really scared to ask him to choose a favorite. 🙂
He LOVES this show on PBS so when I was deciding what to do for his second birthday, it was the obvious choice. I am an expert in all things Daniel Tiger so it was pretty easy to do this party right. I wanted to share all of my pictures from the big day with you. I also included the printables at the end of the post that I used for the party. Ugga Mugga!
The FREE Printable template for this Welcome Sign is at the bottom of the post.
This Daniel Tiger Plush is Cole’s favorite thing so it had to make an appearance at the party. It sings, talks, and sleeps with him every night.
This was also his Halloween costume this year 🙂 You can get this hat from Karohook on Etsy.
These images were free on PBS Kids. They have tons of images and ideas for your little Tiger’s birthday.
We had to get our Daniel Tiger fix right before the party started 🙂
For the mantle, I just put all of his favorite books up there for fun.

I sewed some colorful paper circles together and tied them all over the place.
The “Grrrific” Birthday cake! It was my husband’s birthday too and Mississippi Mud cake is his favorite. It’s not a pretty cake but it’s SO good. I’ll have to post the recipe soon. I made this little banner by just sewing the paper pieces together and taping them to straws with washi tape.
For a favor, I made this little printable tag. I printed it out as a 5×7 and then folded it. I hot glued them to Ziploc bags that had an Oreo Pop in them.

Hi! We are having a Daniel Tiger Party for our 3-year old! I love the picture frame hanging from your door, but I’m having a hard time finding a picture frame like that with the glass. Any idea where I can find something like that on the web or locally? Thanks!
Hey Jacqueline! I used cardstock for everything for the Daniel Tiger party. I think I remember hot gluing the cardstock to the ziploc bag but I can’t remember!
Hi
I to love the sign and can only download it as a jpeg, Id love to be able to ad in my kids names to use for their 3rd party this weekend. Could you kindly email it in word? I tried subscribing to your list but when I enter any info it pops me back up to the top of the page.
thanks
Hey Carly! I created this as an image so a Word document for it doesn’t exist. What you do is open it in PicMonkey.com and edit it as an image. There are TONS of great fonts available and you just print it as a picture…not a document. Email me if you need more help 🙂
The welcome sign won’t download for me, could you please email it to me? It would be perfect for my daughter’s birthday coming up. She absolutely loves ‘tigey danny’ (how she says it!). Thank you for the great ideas!

Hi! So gad I found your blog! I’m having a Daniel Tiger party for my daughter’s third birthday and would love to use the printable sign, but when I click the link to download, I only get a small image popping up in a new window. No full sheet image. Am I doing something wrong?
It should be available for download on the actual Daniel Tiger blog post you were on originally without subscribing or going to a different page. I will check today and make sure everything is working correctly 🙂
Hi- I love all of your ideas!! Can you tell me the font name you used for your free printable sign. I want to add my son’s name and want the fonts to match. Thanks!
Hey Rachael! The two fonts are Chunk Five and Sketchblock and I used Picmonkey.com to create it and you can find both of those fonts there. Please share pictures when you are done 🙂 I would love to see the party!
Hi Deonna, awesome blog! My son is turning 1 soon and we will be doing a Daniel Tiger theme. Could u tell me what size are the colourful circles that go with the welcome sign? Cheers
I’m not a crafty person…so I didn’t even think about using a sewing machine! I was thinking you hand-sewed all of them! I’m glad I checked the comments! haha

I will! I did a farm theme last year and it was so much fun(thanks a lot to Pintrest)….I spent too much and it was a lot of work, but everyone really enjoyed it which is all that mattered to me. I think Daniel Tiger will be a bit easier though not everyone even knows who who he is unless they have an obsessed Tiger watcher in their house!
Yeah just moms of little ones know the show. My son doesn’t even watch it anymore but he is still obsessed with his Daniel Tiger Plush and the toys from the show.

Hi, I love your ideas! Can you tell me what the star is on the oreo pop?
They were these really fun candy sprinkles that I just happened to find in our little grocery store. They were from the cake decorating aisle though. Hope this helps 🙂
This is adorable! I am planning my Daughters 2nd Birthday Party and this is perfect! Thank you for sharing! I just have a quick question, how did you get your Son’s name on the Grrr-iffc page it is so cute!
Hi –
The welcome sign won’t download for me.
Can you email it to me?
I would like to be able to add name to the sign.
Please let me know if there are any special instructions.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Hey Adam…that was just a plain white frame…I think I painted it and tied the ribbon through it…easy cheesy! 🙂
Thank you for your welcome sign idea. I’m planning my son’s 1st birthday.
Hey Sandra! Great please share pictures of the party…I would love to see them! We still love Daniel in this house even two years later 🙂
Hi, did you use card stock for the favor prints and just staple to the zip lock bag? Did you use cardstock and poster board for the character prints?
Hey Jacqueline! I used cardstock for everything for the Daniel Tiger party. I think I remember hot gluing the cardstock to the ziploc bag but I can’t remember!
