This past few months I have been fixing up our little southwest-inspired rental and it’s been a blast. I have been using lots of blush pink, coral, orange, and deep dark red. I had an ikat painting from the old house but it died during the move to El Paso. So, of course, I had to do another one for the new house. I used the chevron ikat pattern that I shared in my ikat video tutorial and here is the finished canvas.
I used acrylic paint and LOVED the copper paint because it looks different from every part of the room. I glued some lace around a terra cotta pot and made a printable to finish off the mantle. If you would like access to this printable and others, subscribe to my blog and you will get them all for free 🙂
Ok let’s zoom out a little bit…reality! 🙂
Could you please mention the colours used in this painting? I love the combination and want to try it out, but don’t know the colours’ name.
Great tutorial and beautiful paintings!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Hey Lori! Thank you! I just moved and one of them was ripped and I was thinking “NO!!!!!!” haha Guess I have an excuse to make another one! 🙂
