This DIY Coat Rack and Picture Display is probably one of the easiest project I have ever done and was also the cheapest! Mine is in our entry way but you could put it in your bedroom, a kid’s room, or even in your bathroom for your towels. I love how I can change the pictures out whenever I want and how the coat rack holds all of our jackets, lunch boxes, and accessories.
It was so easy it really doesn’t need a tutorial but here are the steps in case you want them:
I bought a small can of stain, a can of spray-on Polyurethane, two pine boards from Lowes that were 6 ft long, and some different hooks and clips that I spray painted with a rubbed bronze spray paint. I also spray painted the screws so that they would match the hooks. I stained the boards and then let them dry overnight. Then I spray on a few light layers of the Polyurethane and it worked so well! I measured where I wanted them and then screwed the hooks in and nailed the clips on.
Hanging the boards is a two person job so me and Dane used a level and screwed the boards on to the wall into the studs. I bought some decorative screws because they were going to be showing. Just make sure you use a level and screw the boards into the studs so that it can support the weight of your stuff!
Here are all of the pictures and if you recreate this please share your own DIY coat rack with me on Instagram by tagging me!
