This recipe is adapted from some other recipes I have seen recently using pork loin and root beer. I prefer chicken so I decided to try to change the drink to my favorite, Dr. Pepper! We at these at my son’s 2nd Birthday party and they were a big hit!
Instructions:
Defrost 5 to 6 boneless chicken breasts. Place in the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour one can of Dr. Pepper over the chicken and cook on low 5 or 6 hours. After the chicken is cooked, drain the Dr. Pepper from the chicken and add one bottle of BBQ Sauce (We love Sweet Baby Ray’s). Heat for another 30 minutes to warm the BBQ Sauce. Shred the chicken and serve on hamburger buns with baked beans and chips.
