I hosted my father-in-laws 60th Birthday party last weekend and wanted to share some pics from the occasion. Everyone made super great Mexican food and I made the cake and little decorations. Here are some of the very simple DIY decorations that made that day special for my wonderful Gordo 🙂

Okay now to the rest of the party! These plates were my color inspiration…they were the only “manly” looking plates in the store.
I cut small pieces of card stock with my circle punch and then covered this baby jar with paper and ribbon. I passed around the little cards and pens and everyone wrote 4 or 5 things they love about Gordon. Then by the end of the night, he had 60 reasons we all love him so much.
I used my Cricut Expression to cut the letters for this banner and then just cut the black paper to make them pop!
This 60th Birthday Math Sign was a hit! I used my Cricut again to cut out the numbers and then just wrote on black paper with chalk for the rest.

I cut a bunch of “60s” out of cardstock on my Cricut and then I hot glued them back to back with a toothpick in the middle for a cake topper. Just stick them wherever you want. The sky is the limit with this idea!
He LOVED his birthday just like we love him 🙂
Gordon will do pretty much whatever Cole wants him to do…that’s what Grandpas are for!
