My nephew LOVES tractors…well they all do because their dad is a farmer. For their dad’s birthday, I made him a Case-inspired red coke & candy tractor. My nephew saw this and needed one for his birthday too 🙂 I decided to do a John Deere-inspired green tractor this time and he LOVED it. It’s very simple and can be done in about 30 minutes too!
What you need:
- 14 of the small cans of Sprite (or whatever coke you want to use)
- Thick Ribbed Black Ribbon
- Large Zip Ties
- Hot Glue and Hot Glue Gun
- 8 boxes of Skittles Orchard (or whatever candy you want to use)
- Green Card Stock Paper
- Two Large Googly Eyes
- Red Felt
- Marker for the Mouth
Lay your cokes on the floor in a circle like the picture below. Put one large zip tie around each “wheel” and tighten.
Then using the hot glue, wrap black ribbon around the zip ties to cover them up. Put the cans on the sides to put the candy “cab” on top.
Now you just start stacking the candy with the hot glue. You will use 5 boxes for the back and 3 boxes for the front.
Now cut some paper for the front for a little tractor face. I used some green card stock and then glued on googly eyes, drew a mouth, and put on a red felt tongue.
All done! This thing is fragile so be careful when you move it around.
This was the original Case-inspired red tractor for my brother-in-law. The top is a little different but basically just LOTS of hot glue 🙂
What else could we make with cokes and candy? The sky is the limit with this idea 🙂
I made this for a lady at work except I drew an ambulance and put the chocolates inside.

That’s very creative idea! I’m sure my daughter would love this one!
Hey Kate! Yeah it was SO easy and my nephew loved it 🙂
I can see this making a cool gift for someone, but definitely can’t be used as a toy heh.
Thanks Julie! Yeah definitely not a toy! My nephew ate some of it the day he got it so they don’t last long 🙂 I think it could be fun for a “tractor themed” shower or birthday party too.
Ooh I agree this would make an awesome centerpiece decoration.
