a new direction2

Hey ya’ll!  I wanted to share something with you that I’ve been thinking about for a while.  I guess it’s almost Spring and I’m ready for something new 🙂

Now you know I love a good DIY project for my house and I am still going to share what I make with my readers and friends.  However, lately I’ve been feeling like I’ve been putting a big emphasis on the “stuff” in my life and not enough emphasis on what is important.  I want to encourage other women to be the person God wants them to be and worry less about their “Pinterest-perfect” homes.  I still love to craft and will share those posts as well but it won’t be my primary focus on Child at Heart anymore.

I am starting something new and I need your help.  I am going to start really focusing on teaching my family the Bible daily and that starts with me.   I am going to make my Bible study a priority and if that means I don’t post every week, that’s ok.  Too often my blog takes a priority over our Bible time and I can’t let that happen anymore.  I am going to start teaching my son all of the wonderful stories of the Bible and that’s where you come in.

I’ve started a few Pinterest boards and would LOVE contributors.  I am going to start sharing how I teach my son the stories and how I teach myself.  I am going to pin to these boards and would love for you to pin to them too.  If you already follow me, just reply to this email and I will add you to the boards.  I am starting with Creation and Noah’s Ark and they will be at the top of my boards on my Pinterest page.  (To contribute you have to follow me first so that I can add you.)

If you have a young child or are teaching bible class, PLEASE join these boards and help me find the best ideas to share with others and use myself.  If you have an idea for a craft that you can’t find, email me and I will try it out and share it with the group.  If you have a great idea for a craft you have made in the past and want me to share, please email me as well.

Thank you so much and I hope you will continue following me.  If not, you can unsubscribe but I’ll miss you 🙂

I also want to follow my readers on Pinterest so please reply to this email if you would like me to follow you with the link to your Pinterest page.

**If you pin unrelated pins or spam to these boards, you will be removed.
