We are doing a “No Complain” November Challenge.
I hope you are enjoying this little series this month and trying to keep your complaining down and your gratitude up!
Okay the verse for this week is:
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Meditate on this verse. Share this verse card on social media so others can know about this challenge. Write it on the tablet of your heart 🙂
My little thought for today is to evaluate your “problems.” My husband was just promoted and is now the newest police pilot in the state 🙂 I am so proud of him and we are so excited for this new chapter in our lives. As soon as he was promoted, the “problems” with saying goodbye, moving, etc. started to creep in. I complained about the list of things I need to do like change our address, call all of our utilities, and how I wasn’t going to be able to set up my Christmas tree when I wanted to.
Then today in bible class, I looked at two young girls at my church, one who just lost her dad this week, and another who’s mom was just placed in hospice. I couldn’t believe I was complaining when they were both in such grief. One of my friends was smiling even though her life is really difficult right now. Take some time to comfort those around you who have something they are dealing with and remember that someone might LOVE to have your problems instead of their own.
Please share your thoughts and experiences from the last few days and share this challenge on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using #nocomplainnovember so we can spread the joy 🙂
