I am so excited that we will be closing on a new house across town in just a few weeks…and that means boxes need to be packed! As always, I’m getting sad about leaving the little rental we’re currently in. I got my camera today and took pictures of my favorite rooms and places in the house to keep and share with you. 🙂
Our little living room that I finally figured out how to arrange now that we’re moving! I painted our TV stand that my Nana and Papa gave me with Nantucket Spray chalk paint from CeCe Caldwells. That ladder, lace planter and large canvas painting are all DIY projects that I’ve shared in the past.
Our kitchen…I love this rug from World Market and am already trying to think of where it’s going to go in the new house. Lots of plants gave up their lives in that kitchen window until I finally realized what I could keep alive…desert plants!
This is one of my favorite crafts in the house but I’ve never done a blog post about it because it’s SO easy. I just looped yarn over a dowel that I painted with copper paint and then trimmed the bottom.
These hallway pictures are not so great but there is my doily dreamcatcher that I love so much!
The Master Bedroom! This DIY floor mirror is still one of my favorite projects I have ever done! It’s been pinned about a bazillion times which makes me so happy! 🙂 This other little wall hanging was made by having an “engineer print” made of my son and then I taped it to the back of a painted dowel and added some tassels for fun. I am going to miss this bedroom because above that molding are lights that are the best for people who HATE overhead lighting like me.
This was basically our little office since we don’t eat around the table that much…I know we’re terrible. I love my little command center and want to do that again in the next house somewhere.
This is my son’s room. I love this metal bird from a small boutique shop in Stratford, Texas. He said that it scared him but it was so expensive that he just had to get over it! 🙂 haha He’s going to move up to a big boy bed in the next house since we need this for the baby which could almost make me cry…
Those Christmas lights were only supposed to be up in December but we loved them so much it’s almost a year later and they are still there. 🙂
I started this gallery wall one day and when my husband saw it, he reminded me that we were in a rental where lots of holes in the walls was bad…so this is where it ended. 🙂
and here’s the reality of what his room looked like 5 minutes later!
Excited for the next chapter in our life with a new house and new baby but we had some great memories in this little rental!
I love your rental home and can’t wait to see your new home! 🙂 You are so creative and have wonderful taste!
Thank you! I’m really excited to make it our home…it’s gonna be pretty empty for a while but that’s ok! 🙂
