Cole loves bracelets SO much and so I go us these @puravida bracelets to match for this summer. He doesn’t think it’s lame to match his mom yet but I know those days are numbered.

He read a scripture in front of a small church outside of Lubbock today for the first time ever and did awesome.

Hey I’m Deonna.

People usually reintroduce themselves when they get a lot of new followers but I’ve lost a ton lately 😂 (probably because now I talk about trachs and death instead of lettering and art) but I felt like doing it anyways.

11 things to know about me right now:

I live in TX but grew up in NM and feel like Mexican food is the only kind of food there is. 🫔

I am the mom to Cole and Allie and a wife to Dane. 👦🏼👩‍🦼👮🏻‍♂️

I love lettering and drawing random people at night if I can stay awake. 😴

My daughter became a quadriplegic in 2020 and this has forever changed us and I love sharing about how God has taken that brokenness and allowed us to encourage others. 🙏🏻

I LOVE flowers and and have a lot of fun making faces with them. 🌼

I do #devowithdeonna every Tuesday where I talk about how to thrive and survive when your normal dies. 🤍

I created the Pretty Tough Jacket as a way to celebrate strong women and girls. #theprettytoughjacket 💪🏻

My favorite ice cream flavor is Salted Caramel Truffle from @heb 🍦

My little brother died in February and I’m still not ok from that. 😔

I am a crazy plant lady and have about 50 plants in my house. 🪴

I have MS #multiplesclerosis and it sucks but I do love connecting with others who have it. 🧡

Today was 4 months since my brother died and I was trying to find an old picture of him and I saw this one that I didn’t remember I had.

These two used to FaceTime almost everyday. They really loved talking to each other. He would just listen to her random stories. FaceTiming him was the last thing she did that day before her injury.

Whew this hurts that she goes through so much pain everyday and he’s just gone. People always see her smiling but it’s not easy for her and she misses him just like we do. She always says how special he was.

I always feel like I’ve gotta make some statement about how to be ok when your normal dies but some days all you can do is survive and it was a success.
