This popcorn is my new favorite snack to make for large groups. I made it for my brother’s rehearsal dinner and it was gone in five minutes. I made it last night for my craft party and they loved it too. It’s so addicting! This is from a cookbook that my mother in law made for a bunch of us and there will be many more recipes to come from “Saundie a.k.a.Gabby.” This recipe was originally given to her by my husband’s Aunt Lisa. Here’s the recipe…
Snowflake Popcorn
Ingredients:
1 bag (3 oz. or regular size bag) microwave popcorn
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
small candies (such as M&Ms) if desired
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray.
Microwave the popcorn as directed on the bag. Spread the popcorn out on the cookie sheet in one layer.
Put marshmallow creme into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute, stopping and stirring at 30 seconds. Take the marshmallow creme out of the tub and dump it out onto the popcorn in different places. Mix together and try to coat as much of the popcorn as you can. Don’t worry if you can’t coat it perfectly because you are going to stir it again. Sprinkle the candies in now if you want to add them.
Bake about ten minutes, stirring after five minutes. Make sure all of the popcorn is coated when you stir. Take the popcorn out after ten minutes and cool in a different cookie sheet so that it won’t stick. Break up the large pieces and serve or store in an air tight container. Makes about 8 cups.
