I LOVE how we all wear outrageous Christmas sweaters these days! It started out as young people wearing them to make fun of the crazy ones that our moms and grandmas were wearing but I’m pretty sure everyone loves them now!
I went to an Ugly Christmas Sweater party last year with these DIY Tinsel Tassel Earrings and they were a HUGE hit! Everyone wanted to know where I bought them and some ladies actually liked them so much, I had to give a quick DIY tutorial right there at the party.
These Tinsel Tassel Christmas Earrings are SO simple and very cheap so they’re perfect for all of your Ugly Sweater Christmas parties, Christmas Day, or even New Year’s Eve. 🙂
These take about 5 minutes to make and cost about $4 for the set. These would be fun to make for friends too! If you make these PLEASE share them on Instagram and tag me @thechildatheartletters
Supplies:
Tinsel
Thin White String
Two earring hooks
some small pliers
Instructions:
First, you pull a bunch of the tinsel away from the rest and lay it across the string and tie a knot.
Then, you open up the earring hook with the pliers and feed the hook through the string. Once the string is attached, reclose the hook.
Next, you gather the ends together, tie a knot with the white string, and then wrap around a few times and knot it again. Trim the ends and you’re all done!
