Today is the first of three book giveaways this week so enter each day to win! Win or Lose, I Love You! is a part of a sweet little series about a little girl named Lulu but has a great message for boys and girls. It talks all about how to be a humble winner and a gracious loser. We have read this book several times and every time we play any type of game, we talk about how to always tell the winner good job and don’t pout when we don’t win. Great message and very cute illustrations!
My 5 yr old loves games and is pretty good at most games. When she does lose, she has a hard time with it. This book would be perfect.
Hey Nilu! What a cool name! 🙂 Yeah losing is something that everyone kinda hates and I’ve seen some adults really not take it well either…haha…I bet she will learn very soon how to be a gracious winner and loser.
We are currently trying to teach our little one that losing is part of life. He just cries and cries and cries some more. We tried playing games at home, just us in order to show him that losing could be fun if everyone cheers and has enjoyed the time playing but he still cries, cries and cries.
Hey Sean! It’s good your are at least trying to encourage him to be a good winner and loser. We play the game Hi Ho Cherrio and it’s a great toddler game if you ever want to try something new! 🙂
At first when younger (1 – 2 yr), it was difficult to explain and have them understand that winning isn’t all and that they couldn’t always win. Now my 3 1/2 yr old does better with competing. Every so often he still has a meltdown but for the most part he understands that it’s about the experience and the fun you have.
Hey Alina! Yeah my son used to jump up and down and do a dance when he won and say “you lose” and I was thinking…that’s not good! 🙂 Now he’s way better about it and the fun is way more important than winning every time! Thanks for entering 🙂
Not good, but I’ll admit the story made my smile and giggle. I can picture how cute he’d look saying that knowing inside that it’s not right but still looking cute doing it 🙂
